A light emitting device which can emit light at an arbitrary color temperature, and a method for driving the light emitting device. The light emitting device comprises one and the other light emitting diode devices (2, 3) connected in parallel to have reverse polarities, and a constant current power supply unit (4) capable of polarity inversion. The color temperature of the light emitting diode device (2) is set higher than that of the other light emitting diode device (3). |
