PURPOSE: To provide technique which effectively suppresses generating a shock and sound in the case of performing a speed change from a neutral position to the first speed shift position. CONSTITUTION: (a) shows N→1 switching, to large swivel a clutch lever by an amount (A), to deform a braking band 41 into doglegged shape by an extruding pin 45 pressed to a clutch outer 5, and to apply a brake. (b) shows 1→2→3→4 speed shift switching, hear to generate a swivel amount of the clutch lever in an amount B smaller than the amount A, not to fasten the braking band 41 till effectively applying the brake. Thus by braking only at mode change time to the first speed shift position from a neutral position, since generating a speed change shock can be prevented also to prevent braking in the case of the other mode change, a life of a braking member can be markedly extended.
