PURPOSE: To ensure good autocruise running at all timer by effectively using an assist brake equipped in a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: During autocruise running of a vehicle in a downhill, when an operating condition of an assist brake such as with a car speed change factor in a fixed value or more is materialized, a successive transfer is performed from a step S1, where only an engine brake is applied, to steps S2 to S8, to operate the assist brake in each step of successively increasing respective brake force, and when materialized an operation release condition of the assist brake such as with the car speed change factor in a fixed value or less, reversely a step is successively transferred, to perform control so as to operate the assist brake in each step of successively decreasing the respective brake force. |
