The rake is constructed around a horizontal axis (1), which is carried by two wheels (2), which are free to rotate around the axis and are located one at each end of the axis. Two collars (3) are mounted on the axis, adjacent to the wheels. A length of right angled material (4) is mounted on the collars so as to lie parallel to the axis, with one arm of the angle above the axis, with the front edge in front of the axis. A series of teeth is fixed on to the axis, between the axis and the forward face of the angled material. The teeth are thus capable of sustaining a pendular movement, from one extreme position, where the teeth are roughly vertical against the forward face of the angled material, and as the rake is dragged through the soil by the user, and a second position, which is almost horizontal, when the rake is pushed by the user.
