PURPOSE: To improve considerably cost-performance by utilizing a basic function of communication of sharp images by a video telephone set to the utmost. CONSTITUTION: When a signal is given to an interrupt terminal of an MPU 60 from a sensor interface 6, an automatic dial command is outputted to a speech control circuit 62 and a telephone number having been stored in a built-in RAM of the MPU 60 in advance is dialed to connect a line. Then an on-hook transmission command is outputted to the speech control circuit 62 to set only the speech transmission by a condenser microphone 36 even when a handset 28 is hooked on. The relation circuits such as an image compression circuit 66 are started to send a video image from a camera 42 superimposed on a voice signal from the microphone 36 and the transmission state of the voice and the compressed image signal is continued till the line is interrupted. |
