PURPOSE: To provide excellent durability and ensure the stability of quality by covering the surface of a perovskite type composite oxide separator base with a flat coating film excellent in adhesion. CONSTITUTION: A high temperature type fuel cell separator is formed of a separator base consisting of a perovskite composite oxide, and at least one coating selected from silicon oxide, silicon nitride and zirconium oxide less than 100μm in thickness which flatly covers the surface of the base. This separator is manufactured by applying a solution selected from polysiloxane, polysilazane and polyzirconoxane to the surface of the separator base consisting of the perovskite composite oxide followed by baking. |
