PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of an intake pipe or the like due to condensed water in EGR gas introduced to the upstream of a supercharger while obtaining an effect of such as reducing NOx also at high load time, by introducing EGR gas in the upstream of the supercharger. CONSTITUTION: An EGR passage 22 is connected to an intake passage in the upstream from a mechanical supercharger 7, and an intake passage 2a, in a range from this EGR passage connecting part over to the mechanical supercharger 7, is tilted or curved so as to becomes lower in height as it goes more downstream, to arrange an internal bottom wall of a casing 30 of a mechanical supercharger main unit so as to be positioned in the lowest part of this passage. |
