PURPOSE: To reduce a pressure loss air flow in an air passage in itself and to reduce air blowing noise caused by disturbance of air flow near a top plate part so as to carry out an improvement by a method wherein a top plate part between air blowing ports of a fan housing is provided with a flow regulating member of which diameter is reduced from its lower part to its upper part. CONSTITUTION: A ceiling built-in type air conditioner in which centrifugal fans 4, 4 having air suction ports 3, 3 at forward and rearward locations are arranged through a fan housing 20 between the two sets of right and left heat exchangers 5a, 5b is constructed such that a top plate part 20a between air blowing ports 4c, 4c of the fan housing 20 is provided with a flow regulating member 14 of which diameter is reduced from its lower part to its upper part. With such an arrangement as above, eddy flow produced in a reverse flow region between the air blowing ports 4c, 4c of the centrifugal fans 4, 4 is regulated to reduce its disturbance, resulting in that air blowing sound is reduced. |
