PURPOSE: To provide a low noise type air conditioner which is compact in size, shows an improved maintenability and is produced at a low cost to produce an efficient operation. CONSTITUTION: A low noise type air coditioner in which a substantially U-shaped air blowing passage having air suction port 16 and air discharging port 17 at its upper part and communicated with the suction port and the discharging port is formed and the air blowing passage has a pre-filter, a main filter, a coil, a blower and a sound muffling mechanism is constructed such that the blower 5 is arranged at the lower-most location within the substantially U-shaped air blowing passage, the pre-filter 2, the main filter 6, the coil 3 and the humidifier 4 are arranged in a rising air blowing passage at the suction port 16 and then the sound muffling device 1 of which outer shape is formed in a cubic shape is integrally formed in the rising air blowing passage at the discharging port 17. |
