PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an n-phase switching reluctance machine which requires only (n) electrical joints by disposing a phase unit, having a unilateral current device connected in series with each phase winding, in a conduction ring forming the node at the joint of the phase units. SOLUTION: A three-phase motor 7 has three phase units each having a phase winding RS, ST, TR, and a phase diode DR, DS, DT, connected in series. Each phase diode is connected to be conducted toward its winding. The joints of the phase units form the nodes R, S, T and each line 10, 12, 14 is connected with the joint between each node and one pair of switches in the inverter. With such a circuitry, only three lines 10, 12, 14 are required for feeding a current to the winding of a three-phase switching reluctance motor. |
