PURPOSE: To provide the manufacturing method of the electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of forming a high-quality image superior in electric characteristics. CONSTITUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor provided on a conductive substrate with at least an electric charge injection prohibitive layer made of an amorphous material composed essentially of silicon atoms and a photoconductive layer is manufactured by changing the temperature of the substrate in a rate of -2.5∼-0.4 deg.C/min at the time of forming this electric charge injection blocking layer from its initial time and changing the temperature of the substrate at a rate of 0.3∼5.0 deg.C/min at the time of forming the photoconductive layer from its initial time.
