PURPOSE: To detect the clogging of a feed and exhaust part or the deterioration of a combustion fan by providing a detecting means for detecting the clogging of the feed and exhaust part or the deterioration of the combustion fan when the difference between the variation and the reference value in the rotating speed of the combustion fan exceeds a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION: After prescribed timeΔt passes, a CPU 20 computes the variationα1 of the rotating speed of a combustion fan 15 from the start of operation to the lapse of the prescribed timeΔt and stores it in a memory 20a. On the other hand, the CPU 20 reads the variationα2 of the rotating speed of the combustion fan 15 from the start of operation during normal operation, which is previously stored at the time of shipment from a factory, to the lapse of the prescribed timeΔt from a memory 24 and judges whether the difference betweenα1 andα2 exceeds a threshold valueβ1. When the difference betweenα1 andα2 exceedsβ1, the CPU 20 judges that a feed and exhaust part is clogged or the combustion fan is deteriorated, stores the contents of the failure in the memory 24 as failure data and displays a warning on a remote controller 22.
