<p>PURPOSE: To stop operation of an internal combustion engine when abnormality is detected by a method wherein a high sensitivity gas sensor to detect the presence of fuel gas due to leakage of gas to an explosion-proof type pressure switch to detect an internal pressure in a case and at the interior of the case always inputs a detecting result to a controller. CONSTITUTION: When it is detected that gas leakage does not occur to the interior of an internal pressure explosion-proof case 3 with which an internal combustion engine is surrounded, a fan 6 for pressure is driven and an internal pressure is held at 10mmAg or more. Consecutively, the start motor of an internal combustion engine is rotated and a fuel gas cutoff valve 4a is opened to start operation of an internal combustion engine. Further, during operation of an internal combustion engine device, gas is detected by a gas detector 13 in a case 3 and a pressure is detected by an explosion-proof pressure switch 12 and the temperature of an exhaust gas outlet is detected by an exhaust gas thermometer 5b. When it is detected that abnormality occurs to even one of the operation conditions, a control current is cutoff and an internal combustion engine is forced into a stop and operation of the fan 6 for a pressure is continued for a given time.</p> |
