The hanging cable (28) support for a hydraulic pulley lift (10) has a tensioner (32) attached to the fixed bottom part (20) of the hydraulic cylinder (18) that raises and lowers the lift cabin. The tensioner maintains a downward tension on the electric cables. A return pulley (30) for the electric cable is mounted coaxially with the lifting pulley (26) at the top of the moving rod (22) of the hydraulic hoist cylinder. The cables are attached to the top of the lift cabin, pass upward and over the return pulley, then downward, parallel to the hydraulic cylinder. The tensioner reduces any tendency of the cables to swing as the lift cabin moves up or down as the lift moves or due to external influences such as wind. |
