PURPOSE: To provide a developing device which is capable of separately using the advantage of a one-component developing device and that of a two- component developing device properly, or capable of using the advantages of the both at the same time, and, despite of this, capable of achieving a simple, small structure in its production. CONSTITUTION: The developing device A comprises a toner carrier roller 1 and a two-component-developer carrier sleeve 2 incorporated with a magnet roller 3. The toner carrier roller 1 is able to carry the layer of electrified toner to an area opposite the developer carrier sleeve 2 by holding it thereon, and the developer carrier sleeve 2 is able to take the toner on the roller 1 into developer D by carrying the developer D, containing toner and carrier, thereon. Both the toner carrier roller 1 and developer carrier sleeve 2 are used for the development of an electrostatic latent image. |
