PURPOSE: To provide an information processing device/method which can decrease the operations to carry out the additional functions and also can improve the work efficiency. CONSTITUTION: When a window is designated by a user (S1), the corresponding window information is acquired (S2). An input code map is obtained from a window system server against the designated window (S3), and an idle area of the input code map is retrieved (S4). The window information is registered in a window information memory after the idle area is retrieved out of the input code map (S6). Then a window operation command is allocated to the idle area of the input code map (S7).
