<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a resin binder ensuring a slight change of image density and excellent in dependency on the environment by polymerizing a monomer mixture contg. a monomer having a polymerizable vinyl group in the presence of a neutral or alkaline buffer soln. CONSTITUTION: This resin binder is made of a polymer obtd. by polymerizing a monomer mixture contg. a monomer having a polymerizable vinyl group in the presence of a neutral or alkaline buffer soln. This resin binder is made preferably of a styrene-acrylic copolymer. The monomer having a polymerizable vinyl group is, e.g. a styrene monomer or other copolymerizable vinyl monomer. The styrene monomer is, e.g. styrene or o-methylstyrene and styrene is preferably used. The copolymerizable vinyl monomer is, e.g. ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate or n-butyl acrylate.</p> |
