PURPOSE: To improve the convenience of use by allowing the mobile telephone set to display an area name or the like of a current moving point (base station). CONSTITUTION: An identification code of a cell base station is stored in a RAM 8, a position information table is read when a preceding identification code to be stored and an identification code received this time are different to check the registration content. When the received identification code designates 'presence' of pattern display, information such as the address of a cell base station, the name of a road and its address and the name of a crossing corresponding to the received identification code are displayed on a screen of a liquid crystal display device (LCD) 10.
