PURPOSE: To obtain a small-sized isothermal connector in which highly accurate measurement can be carried out with a short set time by providing a thermally conductive thermocoupling member at a joint of a thermocouple connector and an isothermal connector and setting the thermal capacity of the isothermal connector higher than that of a corresponding connector. CONSTITUTION: A thermoelectromotive force generated from a thermocouple 12 is fed through a thermocouple connector 16 and an isothermal connector 24 to a measuring circuit 22. In order to suppress the measurement error caused by two thermoelectromotive forces generated through contact of metals at electric joints 26, 18, temperatures at the joints 26, 18 are equalized to minimize the difference between two thermoelectromotive forces thus preventing the thermoelectromotive force generated from the thermocouple 12 from having adverse effect on the measurement. Furthermore, both the joint 26 and the temperature sensor 28 are thermally coupled with a thermally conductive part 30 to bring about an isothermal state and the output signal from the sensor 28 is measured at the circuit 22 thus compensating the thermoelectromotive force at the joints 26, 18. The set time is shortened by setting the thermal capacity at the joint 26 higher than that at the joint 15.
