PURPOSE: To provide a solid electrolyte-type gas sensor which prevents the deterioration of sensitivity due to the steam or dew in the ambience at the time of not being heated and improves the stability of sensitivity with time. CONSTITUTION: A working electrode layer 8 and a reference electrode layer 6 are constituted via a solid electrolyte layer 7. A complex of carbonates of an alkali metal and a rare earth element is provided as an auxiliary electrode substance 9 in the working electrode layer 8 in this carbonic acid gas sensor element. |
