PURPOSE: To change a chord in the timing intended by a performer by practicing an automatic accompaniment by a chord corresponding to a front push key when push-key operation is practiced by a slur playing method. CONSTITUTION: Chord data to designate a chord is stored in progress order of a musical piece in a chord progress pattern memory 9. When a CPU 3 reads out the chord date in order of the musical piece from the chord progress pattern memory 9 every time when performance operation is detected, a sound source 6 indicates a pronunciation of an accompanying sound by successively converting a sound pitch on respective sounds of an accompanying pattern according to this chord data. Here, when new performance operation overlapping with the previosly practiced performance operation is detected, chord data corresponding to the previously practiced performance operation is allocated to the new performance operation. Therefore, when a slur performance is practiced, a pronunciation of the accompanying sound is indicated according to the chord data corresponding to the previosuly practiced performance operation, and when it is not the slur performance, a pronunciation of an accompanying sound is indicated in prestored chord progress. |
