PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the external dimensions of a combination of a rotating machine and a cabinet for frequency adaptive unit. SOLUTION: This generator is provided with a rotor 2 being cooled at least through circulation 5 of a cooling fluid, and a stator 3 disposed around the rotary shaft 4 of the rotor 2. A polyphase generator 1 feeds electricity to a network 6 at least through a unit 7 for adapting the frequency generated from the generator 1 to the frequency of the network 6, wherein the stator 3 includes at least a part 9 of the constituents of the frequency adaptive unit 7.
