PRODUCTION OF NONCROSSLINKING RESIN BINDER FOR TONER

摘要

PURPOSE: To produce a noncrosslinking resin binder contg. a high mol.wt. polymer component and a low mol.wt. polymer component, having a wide mol.wt. distribution and ensuring well-balanced fixability and anti-offsetting property of a toner in a short time. CONSTITUTION: A high mol.wt. polymer component is suspension-polymerized at >=95 deg.C using a monomer for a high mol.wt. polymer contg. 0.001-0.1 pt.wt. multifunctional vinyl monomer and a polymn. initiator and then a low mol. wt. polymer component is suspension-polymerized in the presence of suspended particles of a high mol.wt. polymer to produce the objective noncrosslinking resin binder.
