PURPOSE: To independently show the analog display mode and the digital display mode by providing a cover pattern for concealing a hand at the specific position of a transmission type display device, and providing a mode switching button for switching the analog display mode and the digital display mode. CONSTITUTION: A transmission type display device 1 is provided with a digital display section 2 and a cover pattern 3 concealing a hand 4. The analog display mode and the digital display mode are switched by a mode switching button 5. When the button 5 is operated, the display device 1 is set in the operational state, the cover pattern 3 is lighted, digital information is displayed on the display section 2, and the hand 4 is moved to the position of the cover pattern 3 by a hand specific position driving means and made invisible. When the button 5 is operated, the display device 1 is set in the nonoperational state, the cover pattern 3 and the digital information on the display section 2 is erased, and the hand 4 is returned to the normal time display position by the action of a hand returning means. |
