PUNCHING DEVICE FOR ORIGINAL FILM

PURPOSE: To bore an original film with punch holes for positioning in the adequate positions relative to recorded images. CONSTITUTION: A negative film 16 is placed on a surface plate 202 consisting of a moving surface plate 204 and a stationary surface plate 206. Puncher units 251 for boring the negative film 16 with the punch holes are mounted at the stationary surface plate 206. The stationary surface plate 206 is provided with slots 206C in prescribed positions. A scanner moving in these slots detects the registers of the negative film 16 and measures the deviation quantity of the negative film 16 from the puncher units 251. The moving surface plate 204 moves in an X direction, Y direction andθdirection (rotating direction) with respect to the stationary surface plate 206 in accordance with the measured deviation quantity and positions the held negative film 16 relative to the puncher units 251.
