PURPOSE: To increase the number of negative electrodes to increase the area of the negative electrode and provide a sealed lead-acid battery advantageous for using in low temperature area. CONSTITUTION: A negative electrode plate 4 (4A-4I) is formed by laminating sponge lead on a negative electrode grid body made of lead. A positive electrode plate 3 (3A-3F) is formed by laminating lead peroxide (PbO2 ) on a positive electrode grid body made of lead. The negative electrode plate 4 and the positive electrode plate 3 are alternately laminated in the arrowed direction T with a separator 2 in between. A lead intermediate conductive plate 7 having about the same thickness as the separator 2 is interposed between an ear part 3c and an ear part 4c. The negative electrode plate 4 is arranged on both sides in the laminating direction.
