A method for making a flywheel comprising two coaxial members (12, 14) of which one (12) is designed to be rotationally integral with a drive shaft such as the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, while the other (14) is designed to be connected with a driven shaft such as the input shaft of a gearbox. The first member (12) comprises a chamber (30) that may be at least partially filled with a pasty or viscous agent and houses circumferentially acting resilient means inserted between said members. Said agent is deposited at the outer periphery of the first member (12) before the chamber is closed. The method is useful in the field of motor vehicles.
