PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption effectively by reducing current consumption in transmission and reception of packet data. CONSTITUTION: After initial synchronization where a clock signal is supplied to the equipment, when a data demodulation section 23 cannot detect a start delimiter inserted in a header and an identifier of a packet representing a destination terminal equipment, data of a variable length are detected and when the detection of the data is finished, a MAC processing section sends a forced packet interrupt signal to a controller 80 in a spread spectrum receiver. The controller 80 stops the supply of a clock signal to a reception digital processing section 20 to a clock generating control section 90 to set the forced packet interrupt mode. After the end to a time (period) depending on the data of the variable length and a current reception transmission speed, the forced packet interrupt signal is made disable to transit the spread spectrum receiver to the original standby mode. |
