CONSTITUTION: The G in the figure represents the part of the hollow surface of an insulating spacer 20 upon which 70 % of the maximum value of an electric field is impressed when a lightning impulse is applied across the surface and the H represents the part of the surface of the spacer 20 upon which >=70% of the maximum value of the electric field is impressed. A conductor connecting section 40 is positioned against the spacer 20 so that lines X of electric force from the end part Y of the section 40 can intersect the part H. In other words, the position of the section 40 is set so that the lines X of electric force from the section 40 can intersect the part H.
