PURPOSE: To control the motor of a sewing machine by sufficiently following up the load variation of the sewing machine. CONSTITUTION: When the main shaft 13 of a sewing machine is rotated by means of a motor 12 of a sewing machine, a speed detecting circuit 14 detects the rotating speed V of the shaft 13 and, at the same time, a phase detecting circuit 18 detects the rotational phase ϕof the shaft 13. The detected rotating speed V and rotational phase ϕ are inputted to a fuzzy inference device 19. The device 19 infers control gains k0 and k1 in accordance with a membership function and fuzzy rule. A proportional-plus-integral compensator 16 inputs the gains k0 and k1 and calculates the manipulated variable U of the motor 12 by multiplying a speed deviation (e) and its integrated value I by the gains k0 and k1. A motor driving circuit 17 drives the motor 12 by converting the manipulated variable U into the physical quantity corresponding to the driving system of the motor 12. |
