<p>PURPOSE: To detect a stolen vehicle at a toll collecting station on a toll road. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle burglar diagnosing device 15 self-diagnoses base on whether an engine is started by an illegal key or not. When the vehicle is a stolen vehicle, an on-vehicle transmitter 21 transmits a stolen vehicle code in each input of a payment code transmitting request from an automatic accounting device 26 at the time of passing a toll collecting station, and when the vehicle is not a stolen vehicle, transmits a payment code. The device 26 executes data processing for toll collection by the use of an accounting processor 30 at the time of receiving the payment code, but at the time of receiving the stolen vehicle code, judges that the vehicle is a stolen vehicle, stops the toll collection, decodes the vehicle registration number, etc., of the stolen vehicle from the stolen vehicle code, informs the nearest police station or the like of the vehicle registration number, passing data and time, etc., of the stolen vehicle from an informing equipment 29, and stores the information so as o execute follow-up search.</p> |
