A light emitting device and a display device having the same are provided to prevent a spacer from being electrically charged by changing a path of an electron beam using a protrusion member. A light emitting device includes first and second substrates(10,12), an electron emitting unit(100), a light emitting unit(110), and a spacer(26). The first and second substrates are arranged to be opposed to each other. The electron emitting unit is arranged on the first substrate. The light emitting unit is arranged on the second substrate. The spacer is arranged between the first and second substrates and supports the first and second substrates to be apart from each other. At least one protrusion member(28) is arranged on a light emitting region, where electrons from the light emitting unit are collided with the light emitting unit. The light emitting unit is arranged to be close to the spacer than a center of the light emitting region.
