A plasma generator and a cooking apparatus using the same are provided to employ unit an eddy having a horizontal film inclined at a predetermined angle and capable of rotating. A plasma generator includes a plasma generating unit(30), a duct(40), and an eddy unit(42). The plasma generating unit generates plasma using an electric field generated from power. The duct includes a passage for carrying air to the plasma generating unit. The eddy unit generates eddy by using air flowing the plasma generating unit. The eddy unit is adjacent to the plasma generating unit in the duct. The duct includes a fan to allow air to move in an eddy direction. The eddy unit includes a horizontal film like a weathercock.
