The invention provides a support device which is adaptable to the teeth and on which recording means are fastened by which the course of the mandibular movements in relation to the upper jaw can be monitored and recorded. The support device essentially comprises a base plate (1) and two sickle-shaped extension arms (2) which are arranged so as to be spreadable and laterally displaceable, guidance of the sickle-shaped extension arms (2) being effected by corresponding slot-shaped recesses (3) and vertically arranged adjustment screws (5) which project through the slot-shaped recesses and are connected to the base plate and which ensure reliable locking of the sickle-shaped extension arms (3) on the base plate (1) by screwing. <IMAGE>
