Crimping appts. for joining together contact elements and electric wire

The appts. includes a crimp stamp (14) which moves vertically up and down to press together the electric contact element and the wire of a bare cable. An anvil (17) is arranged opposite the stamp (14). A drive mechanism is provided to move the crimp stamp (14) up and down relative to the anvil (17). The drive mechanism includes a crank drive (9) which vertically moves a slit fastened to the crimp stamp (14). The drive mechanism also includes a servomotor. The latter is connected via a reduction gear to a circular plate (7) in the crank drive. The circular plate (7) preferably has an eccentric pin (8) and a crank arm (9). One end of the arm (9) is pivotally fastened to the eccentric pin (6). The other end is pivotally connected to the slit.
