Mechanism for ship loading or unloading floating boats

The boom (1) end is freely swivelable about a horizontal axis (3) on the (un)loading ship (2) such that it extends at an acute angle to the water level. Its free end floats in water. The boom carries a boat holder (5) in a longitudinally movable manner, with a drive for the longitudinal motion. Pref. the drive is in the form of chain winches. The boom length typically equals the twice length of the handled boat (14), at least. The free boom end may contain buoyant bodies (10), each as a hollow cylinder, immersing into the boom under load.
