A contact strip (10) is for sensors for registering moisture in a laundry dryer, which is equipped with an air duct made of plastic wall parts. Two contact strips (10) are mounted on the air duct below the appliance door at a preset distance from each other. At one end, the contact strips (20) feature holding sections (22) which are set back from their contact surface (25) by the extent of the air duct wall thickness. The holding sections (22) are inserted into assembly openings (12) for the air duct wall (10). At the other end, the contact strips (20) carry engaging springs.
