摘要 PURPOSE: To prevent transmission signal quality from degrading due to fluctuation in a laser beam following the temperature change in the atmosphere or the atmospheric change of air being a transmission line of the optical spatial transmitter and to improve control performance of the transmitter having an optical axis automatic alignment function in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor laser 3A whose laser beam pattern is elliptic is used for a light source and a major axis direction of the ellipse at an emission end of a rediation lens 23 is set to a vertical direction in this optical system. Or a semiconductor laser 3A or a gas laser whose laser beam pattern is circular is used for a light source and an optical component converting the pattern into an elliptic pattern whose major axis is in the vertical direction is provided between the light source the lens 23 and a major axis direction of the ellipse at an emission end of a radiation lens 23 is set to be a vertical direction in this optical system. Furthermore, the major axis of the ellipse is set in the vertical direction of the transmitter having an automatic alignment function of an optical axis and having a large moment of inertia.
