摘要 A method is claimed for the hot agglomeration of particles or pre-reduced iron ores for the production of iron in ingots. The particles of hot pre-reduced iron ore in the pre-reduction furnace are simply mixed with an aluminium powder or a metal powder containing aluminium before being charged into the reduction melting furnace in such a manner that the particles are agglomerated. The quantity of aluminium powder used is at least 8 kg/tonne of iron ore particles and is preferably around 12 to 25 kg/tonne. The particle size of the powder is less than 8 mm and preferably less than 5 mm.
