Annular sealing body for vacuum valve closure

The vacuum valve has a first sealing face (14), shaped as a rotational body and a second, coaxial rotational sealing face (16), with both sealing bodies mutually adjustable in the axial sense. Between the two bodies is located the sealing body (20), whose faces abutting the sealing faces when closed, form partial faces (2,3) of a torus. The cross-section (10) of the sealing body w.r.t. the ideal annular faces, connecting the annular edges of the outer an dinner partial faces, is contracted or restricted. Pref. the restriction is stepped w.r.t. the cross-section middle plane.
