<p>There is disclosed an aplanation-type tonometer for measuring intra-ocular pressure. The tonometer is of the contact-type and includes an illuminator (6, 8), an image transducer (18), an optical system and a data processor (30) for receiving electrical signals generated by the image transducer (18), and producing an output corresponding to the force applied by the pressure that was necessary for flattening the subject's cornea (SC).</p> |
