Cover for a document, such as a book, magazine or the like, which document is provided with a back having two bindings (wrappers), whereby the cover (1) comprises two binding parts each of the binding parts are provided with at least partially preformed cavities (6, 7) for inserting the bindings of the document, whereby the cover comprises a back part (2), which cover is formed of one part or of multi-parts, and/or the binding parts and the back parts are manufactured of different materials, and whereby the cover is at least partially manufactured of a transparent material of which on the circumferential edge, or between the wrapper and the cover reinforcement means (13) are fixed.
