There is proposed a tubular supporting element (5) of a sleeve (1) for covering a junction (15) of cables (3) provided with a wall (6) that has a non-passing incision (7) directed according to a helical line, having a mouth (8) with a width of less than 0.1 mm, preferably less than 0.05 mm, so as to accomplish a strip (9) having a substantially rectangular cross-section; a process and an apparatus for accomplishing the abovementioned tubular element (5) have also been developed.
