The machine has a base frame (1) which holds several vertical goods shafts (6) arranged in the longitudinal direction of the machine, a selection field for selection of desired goods locations and a delivery unit (14). A selection unit (11) arranged below the fixed shafts can be displaced transversely wrt. the longitudinal side of the row of shafts. When a partic. location is selected an ejector (18) on the selection unit displaces a pack of the selected type of item from its storage shaft onto the delivery unit. The selection unit can have a number of individually controllable ejectors corresp to the number of shafts in the row of shafts contg. the largest number of shafts.
