FIELD: transport for operation in zones with high level of radioactive and chemical contamination. SUBSTANCE: base member is made in form of two of two armored track-laying vehicles one of which is reconnaissance and control vehicle and the other is controlled engineering obstacle cleaning vehicle. Design peculiarities of offered base member is that vehicles composing the member can operate at two modes: with crew in vehicle at low radiation level, and at remote control when controlled engineering obstacle cleaning vehicle operates practically at any level of radioactive and chemical contamination, i.e. under "robot" operation mode. Control over movement and operation of engineering equipment of second vehicle is effected from control panels of first vehicle along command radio channel and telemetering channel. Offered vehicles are furnished with life support means providing possibility of operation during 12 hours minimum at complete isolation from ambient atmosphere. Provision is made for repeated operation of vehicles in contaminated zone owing to coating of body outer surfaces with layer of stainless steel to protect from action of radioactive particles with temperatures of the order of 500 C and aggressive media and to facilitate decontamination after leaving contaminated zone. Vehicles have hermetically sealed lock chambers in stern portion to evacuate people from contaminated zone, decontaminate clothes, footwear and means of protection of crew members before entering habitable compartment.
