AIR-CONDITIONING APPARATUS IN CHAIR

The apparatus is designed for heating and cooling of the seats of automobiles or office chairs. The main theory used in developing the apparatus is the Peltier effect. Human body is heated or cooled by the heat conduction with the seat in which the fluid media is instilled. The thermocouples(2) are composed of thermoelements with different energy potentials. They are placed in serial or parallel alignment to absorb large amounts of thermal energy. When the current runs through the thermocouples, thermoelectric devices absorb or discharge the thermal energy by the differences of energy potentials between the thermoelectric devices. The heating and the cooling can be switched easily by turning a switch(7) to reverse direction of the current. The efficiency of heating or cooling is improved by utilizing the various heat source in the cars or the buildings.
