PURPOSE: To make a headlight thin by providing a low-beam reflecting mirror and a high-beam reflecting mirror for dedicated use respectively, and arranging the socket section of a low-beam electric bulb on a low-beam reflecting mirror side in the front of a lighting fixture. CONSTITUTION: This thin headlight 1 is constituted of two reflecting mirrors; a low-beam reflecting mirror 2 and a high-beam reflecting mirror 3, and a low-beam electric bulb 4 and a high-beam electric bulb 5 are arranged on the reflecting mirrors 2, 3 respectively. The high-beam reflecting mirror 3 made of a rotary paraboloid having the proper shape and size not to impair the design of this lighting fixture 1 is provided at the position of the notched lower half section of the low-beam reflecting mirror 2, and the high-beam electric bulb 5 having a C-6-shaped filament 5a, practically a halogen electric bulb called the H3 type, is arranged at its focal point F3. Thereby, since a socket section 4b can be fitted in the front of the lighting fixture 1 and no projection is formed at the rear, the headlight 1 can be made thin. |
