<p>The method involves using a base station to analyse received uplink frames according to a first time window (Fi) shifted by three times the nominal amount (TS) corresponding to the minimum distance of near mobile stations, and according to a second time widow (F'i) with an additional shift (delta'T) corresp. to a minimum distance of remote stations. Within each time window, autocorrelation peaks are sought for channel allocation request time intervals, so a mobile station requesting a channel is recognised and identified as either a near or remote station. Pref. mobiles in the same category are grouped together in a series of time slots (22) for remote stations and for near ones.</p> |
