摘要 PURPOSE:To detect the accurate bearing of a vehicle by obtaining offset even during running based on the difference between the turning angle of the vehicle obtained from the output of a global positioning system(GPS) and the turning angle obtained from the output data of a gyroscope regardless of the running state and the stopped state, and correcting the output of the gyroscope. CONSTITUTION:A locator 1 computes the turning angle of a vehicle based on the output data detected with a GPS receiver 42 twice. The turning angle of the vehicle during this period is obtained based on the integrated value of the output data of a gyroscope 43. The difference between two turning angles is obtained and divided by the time for obtaining the data twice. Thus, the offset value of the output of the gyroscope is obtained, and the offset correction is performed. Therefore, the correction of the offset, especially, the correction including the drift amount of the offset, can be performed even if the vehicle is running. Thus, the more accurate vehicle bearing can be detected.
