The device enables long term food storage by maintaining the vacuum state of a food storage chamber and minimizing the oxydation of the stored food. The device includes a vacuum box(1), an electromagnet(11) for absorbing the oxygen from the bottom of the vacuum box(1) by magnetic force, a vacuum pump(12) which is connected to a ventilation hose(13) to discharge the air in the vacuum box(1), connecting hoses(17,18), a tri-directional valve(19) for circulating the bottom air in the vacuum box(1) towards upper part and discharging the absorbed oxygen, and a vacuum releasing means for releasing the vacuum state when the door is opened.
